AET Technologies manufactures two types of systems: a drainback system, and a pressurized glycol system. In the drainback system, only the collectors are mounted on the roof and are separate from the storage tank. The tank/s can be positioned almost anywhere in the house or office building. When necessary, a controller activates one or more pumps to circulate fluid through the collectors and back to a heat exchanger where the heat is transferred to the domestic water, heating the water in the process. When the heat exchange fluid is not required, it drains back from the collectors to a separate storage tank.
A pressurized glycol system has benefits, too. Like the drainback system, the collectors and tank may be located in different areas of the home. In this type of system, the fluid, which is always in the collectors, moves whenever there is heat to be gained.
AET has an excellent reputation for quality and performance. Built in the USA, the collectors are SRCC certified. AET has a proven product and has the experience to provide a superior product built for the long term.
